About
The Special Need Children Center Foundation was established in 2006 in Alameda County in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our objective is to establish and operate a center that will serve Special Need Children in both traditional and unique, novel ways.
Our unique approach involves applying today’s communications and space technologies to development of highly-capable assistive equipment that will enable many special need children and young adults to become more mobile, connected, self-reliant and independent. In addition, our center will provide the more traditional exercise, therapy, entertainment, educational and counseling services.
We strongly believe that today’s technologies enable breakthrough capabilities that will help fulfill our vision: a society which places no unnecessary limits on Special Need Children’s productive use as adults of their innate intellectual capabilities.
We see this as our mission: to assist special need children and young adults with the resources, environment, and support needed to maximize their opportunity to transition to productive, self-sufficient, and fulfilling lives.
We invite you to browse our website and especially to become part of this exciting adventure that we believe will improve the quality of life for many people in our community and beyond.
